Class: organization

Name: RalCorp

Brief: Ralcorp is a food production company.

Seven words: old, neccesary, preservationist, tinkerers, family-owned, useful, conspicuous

Detailed: RalCorp dates back a long way into the history of Crystal City, and Carrol specifically. The corporation initially dabbled with pet foods and a few human products according to local mythology, but little is known about the actual products. Asking the owners of the company would be a fruitless endeavor as well, as most of the original infomation was never converted to an electronic format, and was subsequently lost to the elements.

RalCorp owns the tower on Elevator Street in Crystal City, a former grain elevator that many used as a landmark to navigate by. As the cities grew, it became neccesary to enlarge the building, raising it to heights approaching thirty stories, and sealing it as major landmark within the general area, visible from many miles around. The lower part of the tower spreads into a low-roofed complex, wherein lies much of RalCorps central operations. It should be noted that nothing is produced within this building, and the actual production facilities are located within Neo-C and other cities in the area.

RalCorp has been handed down through family lines, and save the various workers in the factories, all of the company employees are of RalCorp descent. It is this peculiarity that drives some to question the true intents and motives of RalCorp, and others to boycott the business, but on the whole there is no solid reason to believe they are up to anything.

Currently RalCorp handles much of the food production for Neo-C and the surrounding areas, be it food for people or otherwise. In this market RalCorp is considered to be on par with any other brand, and clearly leads the local markets. The company has also diversified into other areas of consumer goods, but maintains false names for these branches. Most of these are of inferior quality.

RalCorp maintains a reciever not far from it's headquarters on elevator street, and excess power is freely distributed to the residents of the area.
